LOW NOx COMBUSTION SYSTEMS
Fuel Tech offers a number of Low NOx Combustion systems designed to help our customers meet EPA NOx emission requirements on Coal, Gas, and Oil.
Ultra Low NOx Burners – specifically designed for the lowest possible NOx emissions while maintaining optimum combustion performance. Ease of operation maintains Ultra Low NOx levels over the load range. NOx reductions can range from 40-60%.
Low NOx Burner Upgrades – Modifying the existing burner system in order to stage the combustion process. Upgrade components are fabricated from wear resistant alloys for extended life. NOx reductions can range from 35-50%.
Over Fire Air – Combustion air is diverted from the burners to create a fuel rich zone in the lower furnace completing the combustion process prior to the boiler convective section. Additional NOx reductions beyond new burners or upgrades can range from 35-50%.
